We stayed here for 2 nights, having just arrived from Australia. From the outside the house looks just like any other house in the street but once you go inside it's like another world! We had 2 rooms, one for my husband and me and one for our children. Both rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious. One room had a small sitting area although the main sitting room downstairs is also available for guests. The beds were very comfortable (most important). Hoda was very welcoming and made the most delicious breakfasts. I would definitely recommend Hoda's place as a home away from home. Stayed December 2014, travelled with family

This lovely large home has spared no expense to make it both a "home" and welcoming and is a great alternative to a boring hotel. The breakfast part of the B&B is over the top good yet healthy!
The owner Hoda is very helpful with suggestions and makes you feel most welcome and comfortable. All bedrooms upstairs are a good size and have their own washroom. The decor is opulent and for the Christmas holiday it is wonderfully decorated.
Place is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood close to the famous Farmers Market and downtown Waterloo.
Highly recommend Les Diplomats for a getaway weekend or rent the entire house for a family reunion or wedding and it certainly beats a hotel room!

Hoda, the owner, makes this place perfect in any sence one can imagine. Everything was wonderful: quiet place, comfort rooms, lovely and well-thought decoration - porcellain and furniture desire special mention, amazing freshly cookes and healthy breakfast (I feel I will never be able to cook like that)... It is impossible to describe in words, you just must try it yourself. The best experience of my life!
P.S. Especially recommended for romantic couples.

Our first visit to Les Diplomates in Waterloo. Our son was graduating early the next morning, and rather than making the trek across the 401, my wife and decided to overnight it in Waterloo. This caught our eye based on the great reviews and reasonable price compared to the run of the mill hotels in the Waterloo area. We were not disappointed despite the lofty expectations. We were warmly greeted by Hoda who seemed genuinely interested in all things education, both our son's graduation and my wife's teaching career, as Hoda recently retired herself from the teaching profession. Our room was spotless and very comfortable and very quiet. The breakfast served Friday morning was more than ample, and nicely presented. Everything was tasty and healthy - a great start to the weekend. Knowing that we were visiting our student son, Hoda graciously invited him too for breakfast - a very nice touch indeed considering all the school choices in the area
